A - H Early in 1933 a selection of canvases out of New York, came to the Universty of British Columbia in Vancouver, and were put on show in the Faculty Room in the Library - ...
It occurred to me that the work of Emily Carr was much more than a match for the best in the the N.Y. exhibition, and that Edythe's and Max's were worth a place in it; ...

To leave that dining room and go past the very narrow little stairway on the left, leading to the attic - the eyrie, with the eagles painted on the ceiling, where Henry and I slept - ... [Fred or Edith??]
The studio had the dimensions of the living forest. At one's feet, even the rugs were alive - with little dogs.
