The Hexagon and Crispin Hall
|
|
|
Following a show at the then Westwood library while at the University
of Warwick - thanks to Ros Merkin for her help, in 1983 my first big
show was at The Hexagon in Reading, where they used to have
the snooker. Princess Anne was a visitor during the exhibition. That
year I also exhibited at The Gallery, Crispin Hall in Street,
near Glastonbury, a Quaker town with no beer, where they make shoes
and have Henry Moore sculptures. I spent a few nights and sold a few
pictures at Fives wine bar in Aldershot.
