Following a show at the then Westwood library while at the University of Warwick,
in 1983 my first big show was at The Hexagon in Reading, where they used
to have the snooker. Princess Anne was a visitor during the exhibition. That year
I also exhibited at The Gallery, Crispin Hall in Street, near Glastonbury,
a Quaker town with no beer, where they make shoes and have Henry Moore sculptures.
I spent a few nights and sold a few pictures at Fives wine bar in Aldershot.
